Player's Profile - David Amoo

David Amoo is yet another eye-catching English player in Liverpool's reserves. Born in London on the 13th of April 1991, he plays in the striker role for the Liverpool reserves team. David Amoo is a powerful and versatile player, having the capability to deploy his skills from the right wing as well. His journey with Liverpool FC began in 2007.

Chased by a number of top flight clubs, the Milwall player decided to pursue his footballing education at the Liverpool Academy. His promotion to Melwood came in 2009 after his convincing performances meant he had 12 goals under his belt. He most notably drove Liverpool to the FA Youth Cup Finals after a Kop end winner against Chelsea Under-18s. He has also represented London in the English Schools National Track and Field Championships.

Now, I've seen this guy play. He's got bags of speed and skills. He's very powerful and really has an eye for goal. His deliveries from the right wing are great to watch. I can't wait to have him in the first team. I bet the coming season we would see these young lads have a go in the FA Cup and League Cup. So, let's just wait and see what the future has in hold for us.

  2. We already have Torres and Ngog, both really young and still having years of football at hand. Now Jovanovic is coming. He's aged 29, so might play a couple of years for us. Kuyt is also losing tempo year after year and will probably retire soon. Hence, I find Amoo can be an interesting addition to the squad since he can play as RW.
